First day of School

Our little monkeys started school almost two weeks ago without a hitch. Brynn goes on Tues/Thurs all day to the 3's class and of course Kaden started KG. He was so ready to start and has done well adjusting to school everyday ( a little tired at the end of the day though). He wanted to be dropped off in car line the first day. I insisted on walking him in with his sister as a "First Day of School" rule for mommy. His confidence has grown since last year and he likes the idea of homework. Little does he know...... :-) He is a great big brother and told me he pushed Brynn on the swings at school the first day. That made my heart melt. And for me? Yes, I had tears when I walked him back to his class. Not full on crying, but tears. Tears of happiness, pride, nervousness and how can this be?

Brynn loves her new school and is happy to with her big brother. She likes wearing her uniform and loves her sweet teacher. She picked a prize the first day for staying on "green" for good behavior. It is a small Kitty cat with a 1970's dress on it. She loves that cat. She carries it all over the house and sleeps with it too. I'm sure she would happy to go to school more than two days a week, but for now I will keep her close to me. Before I know it, she will be off to KG too.
